How much of a deposit do you require?

Photography
What is the turnaround time?
About 2 weeks for engagement photos, 6–8 weeks for your wedding gallery and 16–20 weeks for films.
How many images will we receive?
It depends on how many photographers you have, how many hours you book and what the timeline allows. Roughly, we deliver about 600 images for a one-photographer collection and 800–1,000 for a two-photographer collection.
Do you give us the raw photos?
No, raw photos aren’t released with your gallery. They’re the unedited files straight out of the camera and don’t show our editing, color or style. If you’d still like them, they’re available to purchase and delivered on a physical hard drive added to your order. Your online gallery stays up for about 60 days after final delivery, and after that raw photos move to cold storage, so let us know early if you want them.
Why don’t you hand over raw photos with every gallery?
Raw photos are only the starting point. The color, tones and finishing touches you love come from editing, and we want what you share and print to be our finished work. That’s why raw photos are an add-on and not part of the standard gallery.
Will we own the rights to the photographs, and are they watermarked?
Yes, you own the rights to your photographs, and your images are not watermarked.
Do you offer engagement sessions?
Yes. A complimentary engagement session is included with Wild at Heart Forever, Too Wild at Heart, The Wanderer and The Explorer, and you can add one to any other collection for $600. Rhode Island is beautiful for locations, and we’re happy to travel to your favorite spot. Engagement photos arrive in about 2 weeks.
How would you describe your style: formal and posed, or natural and organic?
A little bit of both. We lean editorial: clean, simple and minimal, but natural and organic. We start with a pose and give small directions, which is where the natural moments come from. Details like rings, shoes, invitations and the dress are shot in a fine-art style, candid moments are captured as they happen, and family portraits are more formal.
We’re awkward on camera. Is that a problem?
Not at all. We give simple, gentle direction when it helps and step back for everything else.
Film
What types of films do you offer?
A highlight film is a one-song or two-song cinematic summary of your day, depending on your collection. Stationary films are full-length edits of key moments like your ceremony or speeches from a fixed perspective. An Instagram teaser is a short sneak peek for sharing. A documentary cut weaves together highlights, speeches and special moments, at 10, 15 or 20 minutes. Raw footage is the unedited clips from your day.
Do we get raw video footage?
Yes. Raw footage is included with every film collection. It’s the full, uncompressed files exactly as they came out of the camera, delivered within days of your wedding. It’s a great keepsake, but it isn’t edited, color corrected or mixed with audio, so it’s long and not meant to be watched start to finish like your film.
What’s the difference between raw footage and stationary films?
Raw footage is all of your clips straight out of the camera, including longer clips of your ceremony and speeches. A stationary film takes it a step further: it intercuts multiple camera angles, adds color grading and uses direct HD audio sources to make one seamless film.
Can we choose the music?
Yes, you can be as involved as you like. A music license is included, and we love picking songs after we’ve reviewed your footage and met you, but many couples want to choose their own or at least be part of the process, and that’s totally fine.
Should we do a card exchange?
A great film starts with a great narrative. Exchanging cards with your partner on the morning of your wedding is a chance to reflect on how far you’ve come, and it gives us lovely audio for your highlight film. We ask that you each keep a copy of the card you wrote as well as the one you receive, so you can read both aloud; it lets the editor use your own voice reading in the first person, which makes all the difference.
Can we get drone footage?
Yes. Stock drone footage is available as a $200 add-on.
Your wedding day
How many hours of coverage do we need?
Our sample timeline runs about eight hours, from an hour before getting dressed through open dancing. Six hours suits a shorter day. We’re happy to look at your plan.
Should we get a second shooter?
In our opinion, yes. A second shooter lets us be in two places at once: one with each of you while getting ready, one on the details while the other photographs you, and extra angles for moments that only happen once, like the first look, the first kiss and the entrance. It also gives you more time with your lead for portraits, family and wedding party photos. Collections 2 and 3 include two photographers, and you can add another photographer or cinematographer to any collection for $500.
Does the second shooter stay the entire day?
Usually not. At the lead’s discretion, second shooters typically wrap after speeches. They’re there so we can be in two places at once: getting ready, the first look, the ceremony and family photos. Once speeches are done, multiple angles aren’t really necessary, and too many people on the dance floor can feel overwhelming for guests without adding to your coverage.
What kind of gear do you use, and who edits my wedding?
We shoot on both Canon and Sony with high-end lenses from both. Most of our editing is done in house, photo and film.
Who will shoot my wedding?
We pair you with the photographer and cinematographer we feel will best suit the style you’re looking for.
